PeopleChecking believes that an SME may not consider measures such as background checks on job applicants as important, but this can result in applicants who are more likely to lie on their CV to secure a job at their company. SMEs don’t usually employ the same background checks on a candidate as a large corporation would, but this attitude could cause long-term damage to the company.
