West Yorkshire, United Kingdom (October 15, 2010) – The Siddall and Hilton Products Ltd. supported Mk 2 and Mk1 will compete in two rallies back to back, traveling halfway around the world with barely a break.

Andrew Siddall and Colin Thompson will take part in two of the world’s biggest rally events, beginning with the Silver Fern Rally in New Zealand, which ends just three days before the Roger Albert Clark Rally begins on 26th November. Siddall and Thompson will drive the Mk 2 in the Silver Fern, then fly home via Los Angeles to compete in the Roger Albert Clark Rally in their Mk 1 car, which successfully completed the Trackrod Historic Cup in Yorkshire. Andrew Siddall has competed in several rallies, including the UK British Historic Championship, and the East African Safari 2009 and has served as a navigator on the Tour Auto Lissac in France, and the Tour Britannia.

“We are both very excited to be taking part in these rallies, despite how exhausting and hectic it’s going to be,” says Andrew Siddall. “The Mk 1 and Mk 2 are fantastic cars, and Thompson is a formidable co-driver, and we’re feeling confident that we can make our mark in the Silver Fern and the Roger Albert Clark Rally. It’s certainly going to be a challenge to compete in both in such a short space of time, but it’s going to be a lot of fun, and we feel incredibly lucky to be able to take part!”
