Preston, United Kingdom (5th July, 2012) – PHC Law, specialist personal injury solicitors who take cases on a no win no fee basis, comment as a female passenger in a car accident who sustained various soft tissue injuries receives a £20,000 settlement.
The victim was a passenger in a motor car being driven by the defendant in the evening. The car left the road and plunged into a ditch of water. In total darkness, the claimant was able to climb out of the vehicle, but was unable to climb out of the ditch.
The lady was rescued two and half hours later by a fire brigade and ambulance crews. She suffered various soft tissue injuries in the accident but the significant injury was the development of post-traumatic stress disorder.
The lady called upon PHC Law personal injury solicitors and her claim was handled by a senior consultant solicitor of the firm, Mr John Cooper.
Mr Cooper said: “My client and I are very happy with the outcome of the case. The circumstances of the accident have been very difficult for her to overcome.
“Surprisingly, many passengers who have been involved in a car accident are not aware that they too are entitled to make a claim. I would advise anyone who has been unfortunate to have been involved in road traffic to contact us.”
Orthopaedic evidence was obtained from an orthopaedic surgeon and a consultant psychiatrist. Following proposals, the claim was settled for the total sum of £20,000. The client received 100% of the compensation.
